First, heat oven to 350.
Stir together 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup cocoa, 2 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt.
Stir in 1/2 cup milk, 1/3 cup (6T) butter, melted, and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Beat until smooth.
Pour batter into UNGREASED 9-in square baking pan.
In a separate bowl, stir together 1/2 Cup granulated sugar, 1/2 Cup packed light brown sugar, and 1/4 Cup cocoa.
Sprinkle mixture over batter evenly.
Pour 1 1/4 cups hot water over the top.
DO NOT STIR.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until center is almost set. Let it stand 15 minutes.
I couldn't get a pretty picture of it in a dessert dish. Sorry, but trust me. It's awesome.
Enjoy and make sure you have a tall glass of milk because you will need it when you finish!
